In line with his vision to boost the capacity of the human capital available in the Constituency, especially the youth population, Rep. Bamidele Salam made plans to conduct continuous trainings, seminars and orientation programmes for interested persons within the constituency. The general objective of the planned training programmes is to equip as many constituents as possible, with important skills that they need to become active players within their immediate and enlarged societies.
Part of the several training programmes outlined for execution is the BS-E4 Business and Leadership Bootcamp which is designed to be a training programme that will equip attendees with necessary entrepreneurial and leadership skills that they require to start and manage businesses, while at the same time being able to play key roles within their various communities.
The first edition of the BS-E4 Business and Leadership Bootcamp was held from 9th – 10th January, 2020 at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Ede, Osun State. The Bootcamp had 160 young people in attendance, drawn from across the four Local Governments of the Federal Constituency. Accomplished Business Professionals and Captains of Industries were on ground to deliver the training content.
The Resource Persons included the Member representing Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency of Oyo State in the House of Representatives, who is also the Founder of NairaBet, Hon. Akin Alabi; the South-West 1 Regional Manager of Fidelity Bank PLC, Mr. Bayo Adeyinka; the Member representing Ife North State Constituency in Osun State House of Assembly, who is also a finance expert, Hon. Lekan Olatunji; The Executive Director of Kimpact Development Initiative, Mr. Bukola Idowu; Two Tony Elumelu Fund Alumni, Tosin Adesina and Abideen Olasupo and a host of other accomplished professionals who delivered insightful training content on Entrepreneurship, Financing, Business Management and Leadership.
Also present at the Bootcamp were representatives of the Bank of Industry who were on ground to educate participants on the approach to securing business financing from the BOI.

At the end of the 2-day Bootcamp, attendees were given the chance to pitch their business ideas for a chance to win Business Takeoff grants and equipment that will aid the implementation of their business ideas. At the end of the idea pitch, 43 Business Ideas were selected to receive grants and relevant equipment. These persons were then engaged in post-bootcamp mentorship to further prepare them for the realities of entrepreneurship.
